guest blogger: HANTASTIC!
The Second Installment of our Busy December Guest Blogger Series! Meet local STL shopping blogger Hannah from HANTASTIC!
The holidays are supposed to be a quiet and relaxing season, right? Some years it feels more like a season of coming and going! When all you want to do is sit by the Christmas tree and curl up with a good book…but Ce la vie! Hustle about we must- from one party to the next, in and out of shops or over the river to visit family and friends. But just because you are on the go with a long list in hand, doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your style. The key to staying chic is to plan your look ahead of time. That way there’s no outfit stressing the day of an event, because who has time for that?
Last week while on the hunt for a few new pieces to add to my holiday wardrobe, I popped into Lusso- 165 Carondelet Plaza 63105 to see what they had in store. Lusso is one of my favorite local boutiques. They have curated a delightfully ideal mix of home goods and designer clothes. You will see an elegant top from Wai Ming hanging by a Jonathan Adler chair. It’s the best of both design worlds!
I found two different looks, each perfect for what I had in mind. A work cocktail party called for pieces that transition easily from work to a night out. This gorgeous silk burn out top by Analili looks amazing with leather leggings. For the office, you can top it off with a black jacket. At the end of the day, switch out your usual tote for this velvet jeweled clutch from Shiraleah and you’re ready to go!
The second outfit is ideal for a long day of travel. I love this colorful poncho from Odd Molly- the pattern, the leather fringe, it makes me so happy! A poncho is the perfect layering piece for chilly flights. I paired it with super comfortable J. Brand grey denim jeans. These have a bit of stretch, important if you’re in for a long car ride. But the best part of this look is the incredible oversized travel tote bag from Consuela. Not only is it well constructed with natural leather straps and woven ends, it’s definitely roomy enough to hold all your travel essentials.
Whether you’re looking for a special gift or a little something for yourself, Lusso is the place to find both! Happy holidays friends!
