so - do you know anything about StLouisFashionWeek?  its really taken off and this year looks to be AMAZING!  first - lets talk about headliner Yigal Azrouel!  he blends luxury fabrics with a wearable sensibilty that i just love!  this man is so talented (and beautiful) and i can't wait to see what he sends down the runway! 

next lets talk about the Emerging Designer Competition! i am privileged to be a part of the newly formed Saint Louis Fashion Fund.  A group of local business people looking to put St Louis (back) on the fashion map!  and help support local fashion in all its forms including education and outreach.  plus we are currently working on getting a fashion incubator up and running in st louis by 2016!  exciting stuff.  our first act of fashion fund(ing) is the inaugural SAINT LOUIS FASHION FUND EMERGING DESIGNER COMPETITION.  we have whittled it down to 6 AMAZING designers that will show wednesday october 15th from which one winner will be chosen and awarded $15,000 to help push their brand to the next level.  click the above link to see the designers and thier bios (including local designer emily koplar of wai ming).  get tickets here.  this is kind of my baby y'all.  come see how it goes down!  oh btw our judges are quite the line-up!  including fern mallis, the originator of new york fashion week, and christene barberich of R29 fame.  love her!
